First Impressions: Yankee Candle Happy Christmas!

So because yesterday was Christmas, I thought it was fitting to try out my Yankee Candle Wax Tart in Happy Christmas. When I first opened the packet the scent hit me straight away and it smelled so good! It smelled slightly like spiced apple and cinnamon. When we started burning it it melted very quickly and the room smelt gorgeous almost instantly! It's a great winter scent and I think it was perfect for Christmas day. I'm sure this candle was on sale on the Yankee Candle website so I definitely recommend it for winter! Also, it says the estimated burning time is 8 hours but in my house it's been burning WAY longer than that and it's still got loads left!

Everyday Skin Care Routine

Hi everyone! This is my daily skincare rountine to make sure my face looks its best (well... as good as it can anyway haha!) I have really dry skin and my face always seems to go very flaky. I have to take a lot of care of my skin to make sure it isn't too dry!
My daily skin routine starts in the morning with cleansing wipes- preferably fragrance free as I also have very sensitive skin (jeez I got it all didn't I!)- and a light moisturiser as I never have time to scrub my face before school. I use deep cleansing facial wipes to make sure I get all of the grease and grime off my face from sleeping (being a teenager sucks! You don't know what your skin wants to do!). I use a cheap brand of facial wipes but I find they work very well for me and get rid of a lot of grime. The moisturiser I use is Simple's Hydrating Light Moisturiser.
The real clean happens when I get out of the shower (as my pores are open because of the steam). I wet my face with luke-warm water and make sure my hands are wet too. Then I use either Simple's Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash or their Kind to Skin Moisturising Facial Wash and wash my face in circular motions all over my face. I make sure that the product is either well lathered or the product has exfoliated my skin and then I wash off with luke-warm water. After my  splash my face with cool water to close my pores and prevent dirt building behind my pores! I then apply my light moisturiser again and wait for that to sink in. And that's it! That is my skincare routine! Thanks for reading and I hope this has helped you in some way. Please visit my YouTube page Darkeowl. Darkeowl's YouTube Channel

Simple Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash vs. Kind To Skin Moisturising Facial Wash

I've been using Simple products for a few years now, and ever since I got one of their bundles- which contained a Simple cosmetics bag, their hydrating light moisturiser and a pack of their cleansing wipes- I've been using their products ever since!
One of the most recent products I've bought of theirs is the Clear Skin Oil Balancing Exfoliating Wash. I'm really pleased with it and it's one of two of their facewashes I have- the other being the Simple Kind To Skin Moisturising Facial Wash. I have to say the Exfoliating Wash seems to be more moisturising than the other! The Moisturising one seems to make my face feel really tight and dry and I usually have to use a lot of moisturiser after using it.
The Exfoliting Wash does however seem to make my face more flaky but I still don't have to apply as much moisturiser. After using the Exfoliating Wash my face looks a lot less red than before (on acount of the Witch Hazel it contains) which is more than I can say for the Moisturising Wash as that still leaves my skin with quite a few spots.

Elf Make-up Brushes Review

I bought three ELF make-up brushes a couple of weeks ago and now I've used them enough I am able to make a fair review on them. I'm pleased with all of their outcome but at first I was slightly concerned. There seemed to be a lot of fallout of bristles when I first used the brush, however once I got rid of the loose bristles (which was worrying when I was removing them as I thought most of them were going to fall out!) I was pleased with the outcome of them.

One of the brushes I bought was the Blending Eye Brush. This was the brush that I had the most concern about with the fallout of bristles, but once I sorted it out it's one of the best- if not the best- blending brushes I have used. It smudges and smokes out the pigment and removes harsh edges and fades the pigment out. It's a good shape and easy to use and I do recommend this brush.
